Eye Screening / Eye Exam

We will carry out a detailed and necessary eye examination to assess your vision and ability to focus on objects, as well as perform vision tests and investigations pertaining to your eyes condition /problems.

Eye screening is an integral part of eye care. Certain condition can cause ocular damages without patient noticing any visual or ocular problems – such as diabetic eye diseases and glaucoma. If the condition is caught early, early treatment is effective in preventing damage to your sight and reduce disease progression. Please check our affordable eye screening package.

Cataract Surgery

For people who have cataracts, seeing through cloudy lenses is like looking through a frosty or fogged-up window. Clouded vision caused by cataracts can make it more difficult to read, drive a car (especially at night) or recognise faces. Patients may also experience double vision as well as glare.

Fortunately, cataract surgery is generally a simple, safe and effective procedure and with a wide range of intraocular lenses in the market now, it can improve quality of life remarkably.

Refraction (Optometry) Assessment

The common types of refractive errors are myopia (near-sightedness), hyperopia (far-sightedness), astigmatism (distorted vision), and presbyopia.

We can treat refractive errors with corrective glasses or contact lenses, and will prescribe the right prescription for your spectacle lenses to give you a clear vision.

Diabetic Eye Disease

Diabetic eye disease is a group of eye problems that can affect people with diabetes. Examples of diabetic eye disease are diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, glaucoma and diabetic cataract to name a few.

Patients with diabetes should have their eyes regularly checked – minimum once a year. At Eyecare, we perform extensive and comprehensive diabetic eye check to detect.

Our Consultant Ophthalmologist, who is a specialist in Diabetic Eye diseases (part of Medical Retina speciality) among other things, is an expert in the treatment of diabetic eye disease that could improve and help prevent vision loss.

Age Macular Degeneration

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) mainly affects people over the age of 50. Nevertheless, the condition may also affect younger age groups. In wet AMD, abnormal blood vessels begin to grow underneath the retina. These vessels can leak fluid or blood causing retina swelling and distort or reduces vision.

Wet AMD can be treated with injections into the eye or laser therapy (photodynamic therapy) that could help improve vision with AMD and reduce worsening of vision.

Uveitis Treatment

Our consultant ophthalmologist, who specialises in ocular inflammation (part of Medical Retina speciality) provides comprehensive and detailed eye assessment and examination in patients with problems related to uveitis (ocular inflammation).

The goal of the treatment is to quickly identify treat the cause of the inflammation, initiate the proper treatment safely to reduce and eventually resolve the inflammation in your eye, help restore vision and reduce complications from the disease.
